Second Biennial

In year 2006, Chardin Art Gallery was hosting the II International Biennale New Wave. 100 painters from 17 countries were participated in the event.

The winners of the exhibited artworks were elected by international jury. The exhibition presented the art trends for last two years. The biennale included several work-shops and seminars, to promote and share international art experience.

The jury members of the exhibition were: Judy Stone USA, Barbara Lipp, Germany, Yohko Yoshimura Japan, Nuria Ribalta Spain, Kako Topuria  France, Irina Arsenishvili  Georgia.

The artworks presented on the exhibition received following prizes:
  • The best start-up painter: Mamuka Megrelishvili, Georgia, Ocean
  • The visitors sympathy : Nino Burkadze, Georgia, Ring, Kisses of the Klimt
  • The jury sympathy : Irakli Panchulidze, Georgia, composition The Boat in the Ocean
  • The prize for the best accessory: David Chkheidze, Georgia, Necklace
  • The prize for the best Enamel composition: Ana-Sophie Muzio, France, Arbil 1
  • The best Enamel object: Yokho Yoshimura, Japan, Vase, The Flowers in the Rainy weather
  • National prize: Nino Giorgadze, Georgia, Icon, The Last Supper
  • Grand  prize:  Paata Paatashvili, Georgian, Composition Than
